First the taxation issue...
increased taxes were the result of the French and Indian War, which was included in 1763 and required a larger British military presence in the colonies to protect from raids by French-supported Native American tribes and the French military.
The crown felt that the Colonials were being protected by the troops and should help pay for them
When I say increased, there were always "taxes" on the Colonialists.
However, until the French and Indian War, these taxes were very weak and rarely collected.
This essentially made the Colonies a tax-free zone.
But, England needed to raise money following the French and Indian War (known as the Seven Years War in Europe and was fought across the globe) due to their national debt.
So they couldn't take a lax attitude toward the Colonies not paying taxes
As for restrictions on settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains, another chafing point for the Colonialists, you can argue that these were where the French-supported Native Americans lived.
It is these very settlements that cause friction between Native Americans and settlers, friction that can be avoided if settlers simply stay out of Native American lands
As for loyalty -- the Colonialists are British.
They OWE their allegiance and loyalty to England and the Crown.
Anything short of that is treason.
British troops stationed in Colonial cities are there because of troublemakers and rabble-rousers who are not loyal to the King.
It is their duty, as Englishmen, to submit to the laws of the Crown

As far as democracy, what part of "colony" do these rabble rousers NOT understand.
If they want the full political rights enjoyed in England, they can jolly well move back to England.
The Mother country has the natural right to regulate government, trade, commerce and other rights enjoyed by the Colonies.
And, good law-abiding subjects of the King get fair trials.
Those who complain about unfair trials are the rabble rousers who deserve the King's justice...
