Theme from Nice Guy
guitar chords lyrics
Hey guys this is my first tab.
There is a capo on 3.
You might have to work out the strumming yourself but I will list the chords he
uses. I know it's not accurate, but it's my first tab.
If you have any questions or can help me improve it, email me: [email protected]
There are 2 different A#maj in this song. The first is normal, and the second is a
bar chord, so i labelled them A#maj1 and A#maj2 (I will show what the chords are at
the bottom)
A#maj1A#sus2 A#maj1
I could catch up to - to where you are
Dm/A D#maj7/A#
see if we can make it right
A#maj2 Gm
if I thought meeting you somewhere in the dark
Dm/A D#maj7/A#
was gonna shed any new light
A#maj2 Gm
Oh we'd sit around, we'd talk awhile
Dm/A D#maj7/A#
make polite excuses
A#maj2 Gm
but the cat has my tongue and I'm not saying much
Dm/A D#maj7/A#
'cause I get shy around bullshit
A#maj2 Gm
Dm/A D#maj7/A# A#maj1 (He rings out the high notes here)
My new time-piece is watching ice melt
Dm/A D#maj7/A#
down the bottom of my glass
A#maj2 Gm
and I love to watch them fuses burn
Dm/A D#maj7/A#
down towards their future plans
A#maj2 Gm
gets me thinking about - it's time to empty out
Dm/A D#maj7/A#
these pockets of their idle hands
A#maj2 Gm
and sing la da dadida da da, dadada
Dm/A D#maj7/A# A#maj2 Fadd9 A#maj1
Lock all the doors, pull the phone from the wall, run and hide
D#maj/G Gm A#maj1
Oh I used to be, I used to be such a nice guy
D#maj/G Gm D#maj/G (Last chord shifted up 2 frets)
Dm/A D#maj7/A# A#maj2
Maybe clarity will creep up on me
Dm/A D#maj7/A#
and reset my senses like a clock
A#maj2 Gm
and you'll convince me that your reality
Dm/A D#maj7/A#
is a better idea than the one that I've got
A#maj2 Gm
and you'll give me a second chance at my second chance
Dm/A D#maj7/A#
and we will laugh about my near miss
A#maj2 Gm
and the good lord will reward my ignorance
D#maj/G Gm D#maj/G
with a little bliss
(Last chord shifted 2 frets up)
And I'll see a welcome face in the mirror that I don't recognise
D#maj/G Gm A#maj1
Oh I used to be such a nice guy
D#maj/G Gm D#maj/G (Last chord shifted 2 frets up)
but now the details are vague, it's so strange, like a previous life
D#maj/G Gm A#maj1
Oh I used to be such a nice guy
D#maj/G Gm D#maj/G (Last chord shifted 2 frets up)
But now you say I don't know when to admit that I'm lost -
D#maj/G Gm
when to stubbornly insist that I'm not
D#maj/G Cm/G
Oh dear bless every thought in your thoughtful head
Gm
Dm/A D#maj7/A# A#maj2
la da dadida da da, dadada
Dm/A D#maj7/A# A#maj2
la da dadida da da, dadada
Dm/A D#maj7/A# A#maj2 Fadd9
la da dadida da da, dadada
Dm/A D#maj7/A# A#maj2
la da dadida da da, dadada, oh
Dm/A D#maj7/A# A#maj2 Fadd9
la da dadida da da, dadada
Dm/A D#maj7/A# A#maj2
Chords: I used http://www.chordbook.com/guitarchords.php guitar to work out all
the chords. Some might not be quite right,
but please appreciate this tab took over an hour to do,
as it's my first. I also know it's not entirely accurate.
To get it right you'll have to listen
to the song and experiment a bit.
The chord diagrams are relative to the capo, i.e. the capo is on 3, which will be 0.
A#maj1 A#sus2 Dm/A D#maj7/A# A#maj2 Gm Fadd9 D#maj/G Cm/G
3 3 2 3 3 0 0 0 0
2 0 2 3 5 2 0 3 0
0 0 4 5 5 2 0 2 2
0 0 4 4 4 0 2 0 2
3 3 3 5 3 0 3 1 1
3 0 2 3 3 0 2 0 0
The chord I refer to as (Last chord shifted 2 frets up) is just:
0
5
4
0
3
0
I couldn't find a name for it.
There are a few times in the song where Paul does a little slide up a fret and
back down, you'll have to listen to pick it up. I tabbed this from watching
his live video on youtube.
Props to whoever filmed that, good job.
The song is much easier than these tabs probable make it look. Good luck
